Ulsan Hyundai gewinnt Asiens Königsklasse

Ulsan drehte die Partie gegen Persepolis und setzte sich mit 2:1 durch

Ulsan vertritt Asien bei der FIFA-Klub-Weltmeisterschaft Katar 2020™

Ulsan Hyundai aus der Republik Korea hat am Samstag die AFC Champions League 2020 gewonnen. Im Finale holte das Team einen Rückstand auf und setzte sich am Ende mit 2:1 gegen Persepolis aus der IR Iran durch. Der Brasilianer Júnior Negrão erzielte beide Treffer für sein Team und bescherte Ulsan damit nach 2012 den zweiten Titelgewinn in Asiens Königklasse.

Mit diesem Erfolg ließ Ulsan mehrere heimische Misserfolge in den letzten Jahren vergessen. In der Republik Korea hatte das Team in den letzten beiden Saisons den Meistertitel jeweils nur knapp verpasst und auch im diesjährigen Pokalfinale den Kürzeren gezogen. Doch mit dem heutigen kontinentalen Titelgewinn ist die Fussballwelt für Ulsan wieder in Ordnung.

Ulsan vertritt nun Asien bei der FIFA-Klub-Weltmeisterschaft 2020™, die vom 1. bis 11. Februar 2021 in Katar stattfindet. Hier trifft das Team aus der Republik Korea auf Spitzenklubs wie Bayern München und Al Ahly aus Ägypten.

Das Spiel

Die Iraner starteten stark in die Partie und wären beinahe in Führung gegangen, als Milad Sarlak eine schöne Flanke in die Mitte brachte, die Mehdi Abdi nur knapp verpasste. Ulsan reagierte postwendend. Yoon Bit-garam traf nach einem schönen Angriff mit seinem Gewaltschuss nur den linken Pfosten.

In der 45. Minute fiel dann der Führungstreffer für Persepolis, als Abdi vorstieß und knapp im Strafraum abzog (45.). Kurz vor der Pause gab es einen Elfmeter für Ulsan: Zwar wurde Júnior Negrãos Schuss zunächst abgewehrt, doch der Brasilianer behielt die Nerven und setzte den Abpraller eiskalt zum Ausgleich in die Maschen.

Kurz nach Wiederanpfiff gab es nach einem Handspiel im Strafraum erneut einen Elfmeter für das Team aus der Republik Korea. Dieses Mal versenkte Júnior Negrão den Ball gleich mit dem ersten Versuch (55.). Die Iraner versuchten alles, um wieder ins Spiel zu kommen, nutzten aber einige vielversprechende Chancen nicht, so dass die Partie letztlich mit 2:1 endete.

Im Rampenlicht

Der Brasilianer Júnior Negrão war der unumstrittene Held des Spiels und bescherte seinem Team mit zwei Toren den Titel. Er war während der gesamten Partie ein steter Gefahrenherd und stellte die gegnerischen Verteidiger mit seinen Dribbelkünsten und seiner Schnelligkeit vor große Probleme. Dank seines Doppelpacks erhöhte er seine Torausbeute auf sieben Treffer. Damit lag er am Ende gleichauf mit Abderrazak Hamdallah von Al Nassr.

7– Dank seiner zwei Tore im Finale schloss der Brasilianer Júnior Negrão das Turnier gleichauf mit dem marokkanischen Stürmer Abderrazak Hamdallah ab (beide 7 Treffer). Torschützenkönig ist indes Hamdallah, der für seine Ausbeute weniger Einsatzminuten benötigte als Negrao.

Dies ist der zweite Triumph von Ulsan Hyundai in der AFC Champions League. Erstmals hatte das Team 2012 gejubelt, als im Finale gegen Al Ahli aus Saudiarabien ein klarer 3:0-Sieg gelang.
